Album Embedding

September 10th, 2009

Today we’re happy to announce a new feature we’ve added that many of you have requested:  the ability to embed an album on another web page (sans the comment box) to show off your album on your blog or website.

Like so:

Enjoy!

This is wonderful, Jared. Thank you!

This is incredible! But does that mean we cannot delete it from our album exposure list if we want it to remain on our blog after? Could result in HUNDREDS on our list and difficult for clients to find their album….

@angelique: yes, for the moment this means you can’t delete it if you want it to show elsewhere. Perhaps we could add an “archive” option that would remove it from the client list but still allow embedding.

@alecia sounds like you pasted the html bit in an editor that’s generating html for you. See if you can edit the html of the page and paste it in there. I don’t know much about squarespace, so if you need help with that your best bet is going to be to contact them. Thanks!

I also use Squarespace and can’t get it to work. When I paste the HTML code in and then view the page the shell and controls come up, music starts to play but no images. If I go to thumbnails they are there but not in the slideshow?

Love this feature and would love some help trying to work this out :)

    Cheers,
    Andrew

Actually, this could be an issue with Safari maybe? I went onto Kate Gass’s site listed above and the same thing with her embed. The music starts but no images. Go to the thumbnails they are there but I can’t view them in the slideshow.
